Hey!  Welcome to Coffee & Yarn Cakes!  I'm Nyree and I started making project bags for myself at the same time I started knitting (around 2008) mainly because I wanted Halloween designs all year round but also because I like doing *all* the crafts!  After eventually amassing a significant fabric stash, I decided to start selling some - originally to fund more fabric, which incidentally is a bit like yarn, as you can never have too much!!

I have tweaked my self drafted pattern design and materials along the way.  I prefer using higher end materials that I know will last, so my bags are all sewn with Gutermann thread, include genuine YKK zips and high quality branded lining and interfacing. I add a fleece interfacing to all my bags, which gives them a padded, substantial feel for that added squish and luxurious feel.  

My small, large and extra large project bags are wedge shaped with boxed bases enabling them to freely stand and the large and extra large bags also include a wrist strap.  All bags feature a detachable laser cut, zipper charm with silver plated findings - so you can more easily grab your zipper pull and because...it’s cute and I'm all about those little finishing touches!

As for stitch stoppers - I am obsessed with them!  As someone who unceremoniously shoves WIP's into bags and then wonders why I pull my needles out of the stitches the next time I grab it, these are an absolute life saver - and super useful when trying on a project still on the needles.  Again, I do love a bit of a theme so I like to try and match mine to my bags for added...whimsy and dopamine!!
